What kind of photo should I provide?

A clear, high-resolution photograph with your pet in sharp focus and an unobstructed view of their features will allow me to create the most beautiful result. Natural lighting is always ideal. If an image isn’t suitable, I’ll gently guide you in choosing a better option.

Can you work from multiple photos?

I may refer to additional images where helpful, but each portrait is thoughtfully composed from one primary photograph.

How many pets can be included in one painting?

Each portrait is created for one pet. If you’d like more than one subject, I’d be happy to arrange a custom piece with separate pricing.

What is your painting style?

My work blends loose, expressive textures with fine detail realism. Certain areas are intentionally left soft and suggestive, allowing the piece to feel alive and painterly. Backgrounds are kept simple and impressionistic, so your pet remains the focus. Each piece is interpreted with care and artistic intuition.

How long does a commission take?

Please allow approximately 4–6 weeks from the start of your painting.

When does work begin?

Your portrait is reserved and begins once full payment, including shipping, has been received.

Will I see the painting before it is shipped?

Yes—you will receive a photograph of the finished piece for approval before it is carefully packaged and sent.

Can I request changes?

Each painting is created with great care and intention. For this reason, revisions are not included in the commission process.

Do you accept returns?

As each piece is custom made, commissioned paintings are non-returnable.

How much is shipping and where do you ship?

Shipping is $25 via tracked Canada Post delivery, available within Canada and the United States. Duty fees will be added to the shipping amount for items sent to the United States.

What if my commission is for a charity donation?

I’m honoured to contribute to charitable causes. In these cases, full payment is made upfront and donated directly to the charity. The painting fee is given in full, with only the shipping cost paid separately.

Who owns the artwork and copyright?

The original painting is yours to cherish. As the artist, I retain the copyright and all reproduction rights to the image, meaning it may not be reproduced or used commercially without permission.

Will you share my painting publicly?

I may share your portrait as part of my portfolio or for promotional purposes, always with respect for the work and subject.

Do I need permission to use the reference photo?

Yes—by providing a photograph, you confirm that you have permission to use it as a reference for your portrait.
