Mr. Wilbur
Oil paint on 8” x 10” canvas board.
“Martha is an incredible artist who perfectly captured the beauty and magnificence of my two-year-old Pitbull / American Bulldog! Sadly, my beloved Wilbur died of cancer at only two years of age. Martha generously shipped this custom piece across Canada, and it was so exciting to see the finished product! I have the painting hanging on my bedroom wall, and I smile every time that I look at it. The painting of Mr. Wilbur is a treasured keepsake that will always be with me. I would most certainly recommend Martha, if you are looking for a unique and bespoke work of art!” —B Kemp, BC

Bennie and jetz
Oil paint, acrylic, and impasto, and gold foil on 16” x 20” stretched canvas.
“I commissioned Martha Lodge to do a painting of my two Bengal cats named Bennie and Jetz, as a birthday gift for my partner.
Working with Martha Lodge on the portrait of Bennie and Jetz was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The process felt very personal and thoughtful, and it was clear that a lot of care and attention went into understanding the personalities and details behind the subjects. Martha took the time to ask me specific questions on the colouring of the eyes to ensure it was captured correctly.
When I saw the finished artwork, I was in awe at how accurately she had painted them and I was genuinely moved. The portrait captured not only their likeness but also their spirit with Bennie being the shy, timid one in the background and Jetz being the curious, inquisitive one leaning forward. This made the piece feel very special and meaningful to me. It’s obvious that Martha puts real passion into her work, and that comes through in the final result.
I would absolutely recommend Martha Lodge to anyone looking for a unique and heartfelt piece of art. The professionalism, communication, and artistic talent made the whole experience very positive, and I would happily work with her again.” —Kareem Toni, ON

______
mr. krankl
Oil paint on 8” x 10” canvas board.
“It was an absolute pleasure working with Martha. I gave her a photo of Krankl and let her take the reign. I did this because I completely trusted her that she would do a wonderful job painting a portrait of my cat.
This was the first time ever I had somebody painted a portrait of my cat. Martha would always give me updates on where she was in the process of the painting, telling me what she’s going to paint next and next steps.
When I first saw the painting of my cat, it almost made me cry a little bit, but there was more happiness seeing how wonderfully she captured my cat in the painting. My cat passed away last year and yet he is still with me in thoughts and also in this painting. I have it in my house and I look at it many, many times. It is so much better than just having a photo on a cell phone. I would recommend Martha to others any time.” —Anette, WA

mary
Oil paint and pencil on 5” x 7” watercolour paper.
“Martha produced this portrait of my husband’s late mother, for his birthday. This was of course a sensitive and daunting task for Martha to take on, but she did so with the utmost care. Not happy with her first attempt, she tried again in a different medium to best capture Mary’s essence. To say that we were pleased with the result would be a huge understatement! Martha captured Mary so beautifully and vividly, it instantly brought my husband to tears. We will be forever grateful to Martha for this very special keepsake.” —A.Kahn, ON
